The market price of color coated sheets was 6,400 RMB/ton on November 24th and 6,400 RMB/ton on November 28th, showing stability compared to the previous week and a 3.75% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Market Analysis

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet fell slightly last week. On Friday (November 28), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,142 RMB/ton, down 0.192% from the previous week and down 5.863% from the same period last year. Downstream demand in the coated sheet market was lukewarm, and market transactions were sluggish.

Market Forecast:

Last week, the supply of the five major steel products totaled 8.3438 million tons, a decrease of 223,600 tons week-on-week, or 2.6%; total inventory was 14.7734 million tons, a decrease of 262,300 tons week-on-week, or 1.7%. The weekly apparent consumption of the five major steel products was 8.606 million tons, a decrease of 0.7% week-on-week: among which, construction material consumption decreased by 1.3%, and plate consumption decreased by 0.4%.

Considering the approaching off-season, most factories, despite rising costs, remainED committed to selling, keeping their offers high and firm. Last week, most domestic plants were operating normally, but production and sales were not yet balanced, and inventory was slightly accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain relatively stable in the short term.
