According to data from the SunSirs' commodity market analysis system, the domestic adipic acid market continued its downward trend in November. On November 1st, the average domestic adipic acid market price was 6,966 RMB/ton, and on November 26th, the average domestic adipic acid market price was 6,733 RMB/ton, a decrease of 3.35%.

Market Analysis

At the beginning of November, the prices of cyclohexanone and benzene, raw materials for adipic acid, remained weak. Downstream demand was sluggish, resulting in generally low transaction volumes in the adipic acid market. Manufacturers lowered their ex-factory prices, leading to a continued weakening of the adipic acid market. As of November 10th, the mainstream market price in Shandong was around 6,866 RMB/ton, and in Jiangsu it was 6,700 RMB/ton. The average domestic market price fell to 6,900 RMB/ton, a decrease of 100 RMB/ton.

In mid-November, the prices of cyclohexanone and benzene, raw materials for adipic acid, continued to weaken. Weak end-user demand led to sluggish sales in the adipic acid market, with manufacturers primarily lowering their ex-factory prices. As of November 20th, the mainstream market price in Shandong was around 6,766 RMB/ton, and in Jiangsu it was 6,700 RMB/ton. The average domestic market price fell to around 6,800 RMB/ton, a drop of over 1%.

At the end of the month, the market for adipic acid feedstocks cyclohexanone and benzene saw limited improvement. Downstream demand declined, leading to lower transaction volumes in the adipic acid market. Manufacturers continued to lower their ex-factory prices, and adipic acid prices gradually bottomed out. As of November 26th, the mainstream market price in Shandong was around 6,800 RMB/ton, and in Jiangsu it was 6,700 RMB/ton. The domestic average price fell to 6,733 RMB/ton, a decrease of 50 RMB/ton, with the decline slowing.

According to analysts at SunSirs, adipic acid prices are unlikely to rise significantly in the coming December as end-user demand remains weak.
