Price trend:

According to the SunSirs' commodity market analysis system, the price of color coated sheets tended to stabilize last week. The market price of color coated sheets was 6,416 RMB/ton on November 3rd and 6,416 RMB/ton on November 7th, a decrease of 1.53% compared to last week and a decrease of 2.787% compared to the same period last year.

Market Analysis

Galvanized sheet: The price of galvanized sheet fell slightly last week. On Friday (November 7), the price of galvanized sheet was 4,182 RMB/ton, down 0.404% from the precious week and down 4.67% from the same period last year. Downstream demand in the coated sheet market was lukewarm, and market transactions were sluggish.

Market outlook

Last week, the supply of the five major steel products was 8.5674 million tons, a decrease of 185,500 tons or 2.1% week-on-week; total inventory was 15.0357 million tons, a decrease of 101,900 tons or 0.67% week-on-week; weekly consumption was 8.6693 million tons, a decrease of 5.4%, of which building material consumption decreased by 7.2% week-on-week and plate consumption decreased by 0.2% week-on-week.

Considering the approaching off-season, most factories, despite rising costs, remained committed to selling, keeping their offers high and firm. Last week, most domestic plants were operating normally, but production and sales were not yet balanced, and inventory was slightly accumulating. It is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain relatively stable in the short term.
