According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of sodium metabisulfite in China rose last week. The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite was 1,956 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,960 RMB/ton at the end of the week, an increase of 0.17%.

Market Analysis

Last week, the domestic market price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite (96.5% purity) rose. Upstream sodium metabisulfite prices, such as soda ash, increased by 0.34%, while sulfur prices decreased by 2.04%. Downstream caprolactam prices increased by 0.2%. Prices fluctuated between upstream and downstream sectors, and faster market transactions supported the price increase.

Market outlook

Domestic sodium metabisulfite market transactions have accelerated, and domestic market prices are expected to fluctuate with a slightly upward trend in the short term.
