According to data from the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, as of October 31st, the average price of orthoboric acid in the domestic market was 8,000 RMB/ton. As of October 31st, domestic orthoboric acid traders were quoting prices between 7,700-8,200 RMB/ton (actual transaction prices varied depending on brand and specification, and were subject to negotiation), with mainstream prices ranging from 7,800-8,100 RMB/ton based on sales volume.

Prices of imported goods from overseas rose, with quoted prices ranging from 8,100-9,400 RMB/ton (actual transaction prices varied depending on brand and specifications and were subject to negotiation). According to data from the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the average market price of imported orthoboric acid was 8,941.67 RMB/ton, a 4.48% increase compared to the average market price of 7,624 RMB/ton at the beginning of October.

Market outlook

Imported orthoboric acid prices rose significantly, mainly due to tight supply, with some traders insisting on maintaining high prices. Barring any other significant news, prices are expected to trade sideways in the short term.
