Analysis review

The ex-factory price of coconut shell activated charcoal for water purification (iodine value 1000) was between 11,000 and 13,500 RMB/ton. Demand for coconut shell activated charcoal in traditional fields such as water treatment and air purification continued to grow. However, the high price limited the enthusiasm for transactions, and the transaction volume in the activated charcoal market was lower than expected.

With the implementation of expansion plans in major producing countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines, and the popularization of alternative raw material technologies, prices may fall. As of October 30, the supply of raw materials was tight. Southeast Asia's main producing areas had been affected by natural disasters and adjustments in planting structure, resulting in reduced coconut production, a shortage of carbonized materials, an increase in local processing enterprises, and intensified competition, leading to rising raw material prices.
