Price trend

Orthoboric acid prices have been relatively stable recently. According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, as of October 28th, the average domestic orthoboric acid market price was 8,000 RMB/ton. As of October 28th, domestic orthoboric acid traders were offering quotes between 7,700 and 8,200 RMB/ton (depending on the brand and specification, actual transaction prices were subject to negotiation). Based on sales volume, the mainstream price was between 7,800 and 8,100 RMB/ton.

Regarding overseas imports, the quotes ranged from 8,100 to 9,400 RMB/ton (different brands, different specifications, and actual transaction prices were subject to negotiation). According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the average market price of imported orthoboric acid was 8,908.33 RMB/ton, up 4.5% from the average price of 8,524 RMB/ton in early October.

Market outlook

Orthoboric acid prices rebounded from their lows in April 2025 and were temporarily fluctuating at a high level. Barring any significant news, orthoboric acid is expected to trade sideways in the short term.
