Analysis review

Bromine prices rose last week, with spot prices in Shandong Province ranging from 29,000 to 31,000 RMB/ton ex-factory. Due to weather and regulatory factors, domestic bromine inventories remained tight, and industry utilization rates were low, but downstream companies remainned generally active in purchasing.

Regarding raw materials, domestic sulfur prices rose last week, averaging 2,901 RMB/ton at the start of the week and 3,157.67 RMB/ton at the weekend, an increase of 8.85% and 114.48% year-on-year. Downstream demand remained generally flat.

Market outlook

Bromine prices were rising recently, and upstream sulfur prices we strong recently. Bromine prices were strong last week. Downstream companies mostly purchasde on demand and were resistant to bromine price increases. It is generally expected that bromine may continue to be stronger in the future, depending on the downstream market demand.
