The domestic acetone market maintained its downward trend. Nationwide, acetone prices fell from an average quoted price of 4,536 RMB/ton on September 21 to 4,421 RMB/ton on September 27, marking a 2.53% decline. The East China acetone market hit a new low for the year.

The domestic acetone market continued its downward trajectory. During the week, Sinopec's listed price was reduced by CNY 100/ton to CNY 4,600/ton. Raw material prices declined during the week, easing losses for phenol-acetone plants. With the restart of Longjiang Chemical and Sinopec Mitsui's facilities, phenol-acetone operating rates rose to nearly 80%. As of now, September acetone shipments to East China totaled 44,000 tons, with 35,200 tons already delivered and 8,800 tons still in transit.

Next week, domestic phenol-acetone plant operating rates will remain largely unchanged, with port inventories hovering around 30,000 tons. Downstream bisphenol A demand shows slight improvement, while other downstream sectors exhibit no significant changes in operating rates, maintaining overall stable demand. Raw material prices are edging lower, and declining costs are intensifying market wait-and-see sentiment.
