Data from Brazil's Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secretariat of Foreign Trade Statistics) indicates that cotton exports from Brazil have seen both volume and price declines so far in September.
Exports from September 1 to 19 totaled 104,616 tons, compared to 169,537 tons for the entire month of September last year.
The average daily export volume so far in September is 6,974 tons, down 13.6% year-on-year and 27.1% from the previous week.
Cotton export revenue so far in September reached US$170 million, compared to US$300 million in September 2024.
The average export price so far in September was US$1,614.0 per ton, down 10.1% year-on-year.
