Analysis review
Bromine prices were weaker this week, with spot prices in Shandong Province ranging from 27,500 to 28,500 RMB/ton ex-factory. Due to weather and regulatory factors, bromine manufacturers are facing tight inventories, but downstream companies are generally active in purchasing.
Regarding raw materials, domestic sulfur prices remained stable this week, with the average market price at the start of the week at 2,641 RMB/ton. The average market price at the start of the week was 2,637.67 RMB/ton, down 0.13% from the same period last year, but up 87.37% from the same period last year. Downstream demand was generally flat.
Market outlook
Bromine prices have been weak recently, driven by upstream sulfur prices. Bromine prices have been weaker this week, with downstream buyers primarily purchasing on demand, and overall market activity has been generally subdued. However, as National Day approaches and downstream buyers begin stocking up, It is generally expected that bromine may continue to consolidate in the later period, depending on the downstream market demand.
