The International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG) reported a global lead market surplus of 30,000 metric tons from January to July 2025, compared to a surplus of 10,000 metric tons during the same period last year. July saw a deficit of 5,600 metric tons, following a deficit of 19,100 metric tons in June. From January to July, global refined lead production reached 7.702 million metric tons (compared to 7.537 million metric tons in the same period last year). July production was 1.094 million metric tons, with full-year 2024 production projected at 13.067 million metric tons. Consumption from January to July reached 7.672 million metric tons (compared to 7.527 million metric tons in the same period last year). July consumption was 1.0996 million metric tons, with full-year 2024 consumption projected at 13.013 million metric tons.
