1. [Federal Reserve] Federal Reserve Chairman Bostic believes there is little reason for further interest rate cuts and predicts only one rate cut in 2025.

2. [Turkey-US Tariffs] Turkey announced it would end the additional tariffs imposed on some US imports since 2018, including passenger cars and fruit. These tariffs were in retaliation for US tariffs imposed on Turkey during Trump's first term.

3. [Eurozone Consumer Confidence Index] The preliminary Eurozone consumer confidence index for September was -14.9, compared to an expected -15.0 and a previous reading of -15.5.

Rubber and Plastics

1. [PA6] On September 16, the environmental protection acceptance monitoring report for the first phase of Luxi Chemical's 600,000 tons/year caprolactam and nylon 6 project (nylon 6 unit) was released. The first phase of the project primarily uses liquid caprolactam as raw material and will construct six nylon 6 units (four high-speed spinning units and two conventional spinning units, each with a production capacity of 50,000 tons/year, for a total of 300,000 tons). Upon completion, the production capacity will reach 300,000 tons/year, including 200,000 tons/year of high-speed spinning pellets and 100,000 tons/year of conventional spinning pellets. Previously, Luxi Chemical had 400,000 tons/year of caprolactam and 400,000 tons/year of nylon 6. With the commissioning of the first phase, Luxi Chemical's caprolactam and nylon 6 production capacities have reached 700,000 tons/year.

2. [EVA] On September 22, BASF-YPC adjusted the ex-factory price of EVA this week: V5110J is priced at 11,100 RMB/ton, an increase of 100 RMB/ton. 3. [Polyethylene] According to customs data, from January to August 2025, China imported a total of 8.9816 million tons of polyethylene, a year-on-year decrease of 0.84%; domestic polyethylene exports totaled 729,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 25.91%.

4. [SBR] According to customs data, China's imports of SBR in August 2025 were 39,454.69 tons, a month-on-month increase of 2.62%. China's exports of SBR in August were 28,110.14 tons, a month-on-month increase of 11.25%.

5. [NBR] According to customs data, China's total imports of NBR in August 2025 were 7,830.541 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 4.43%. China's total exports of NBR in August were 2,118.72 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 32.71%.

6. [BR] According to customs data, China's imports of butadiene rubber in August 2025 were 14,893.88 tons, a month-on-month decrease of -34.00%. BR exports in August were 33,162.34 tons, a month-on-month increase of +12.81%.

7. [Natural Rubber] According to the latest data released by the Xishuangbanna Statistics Bureau, Xishuangbanna's production of standard natural rubber from January to August 2025 was 524,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 34.1%.
