According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, color coated sheet prices stabilize this week. The market price was 6,616 RMB/ton on September 15th and 6,616 RMB/ton on September 19th, down 0.75% from the previous week and up 10.26% from the same period last year.

Galvanized Sheet: Galvanized sheet prices see a slight increase this week, reaching 4,207 RMB/ton on Friday (September 19th), down 0.189% from the previous week and up 3.82% from the same period last year. Downstream demand in the coating and plating market remains tepid, resulting in weak market transactions.

Market outlook

This week, the supply of the five major steel varieties is 8.5546 million tons, a weekly decrease of 0.2%; the total inventory of the five major steel varieties is 15.1974 million tons, a weekly increase of 0.3%; the weekly consumption of the five major varieties was 8.5033 million tons, among which the consumption of building materials increases by 4.3% month-on-month, and the consumption of plates decreases by 0.9% month-on-month.

Considering the arrival of the off-season, despite rising costs, most factories are still eager to ship goods, and their quotations remain high. This week, most domestic plants are operating normally, production and sales are not yet balanced, and inventory is slightly accumulated. In the short term, it is expected that the price of color coated sheets will remain basically stable.
