Price trend

On September 16, the SunSirs propylene to isooctanol commodity price index was 109.12 points, down 0.13 points from the previous day, down 45.21% from its cyclical high of 199.16 points (April 13, 2020), and up 129.82% from its cyclical low of 47.48 points (August 8, 2021). (Note: The cyclical period refers to the period from January 1, 2012 to the present).

According to the commodity analysis system of SunSirs: On September 17, the average market price of isooctanol in Shandong was 7,016.67 yuan/ton, which was stable compared to the previous trading day.

Analysis review

The upstream propylene market fluctuated and stabilized, while isooctanol cost support remained. However, the downstream plasticizer market fluctuated and consolidated, and downstream purchasing enthusiasm weakened. The upward support for isooctanol had weakened, and downward pressure still existed.
