The USDA's supply and demand report for the week ending September 12, 2025, showed that due to an increase in soybean crush, U.S. soybean meal production for the 2025/26 marketing year was raised by 380,000 short tons to 60.225 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 4%. Domestic consumption was slightly lowered to 41.675 million short tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%. Exports were raised by 500,000 short tons to 19.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. As the increase in production was offset by the increase in consumption, ending stocks remained unchanged at 475,000 short tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%.
