The price of isooctanol fluctuated and fell 

According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, as of September 15th, the price of isooctanol was 7,016.67 RMB/ton, a 0.71% decrease from the 7,066.67 RMB/ton on September 8th. This week, isooctanol plant installations remained stable at a high level, with the utilization rate of isooctanol equipment increasing slightly to 96%. This, coupled with significant new production capacity, had increased isooctanol supply. Downstream plasticizer plants maintained stable operations, but demand for isooctanol from plasticizers was limited. With increased supply and limited demand support, the price of isooctanol fluctuated downward.

Downstream plasticizer DOP prices rebounded

According to the SunSirs Commodity Market Analysis System, as of September 15th, the price of DOP was 7,509.16 RMB/ton, a 0.56% increase from the 7,467.50 RMB/ton on September 10th. DOP prices rebounded, with DOP companies increasing their production capacity and supporting increased demand for isooctanol, maintaining support for its upward trend.

Market outlook

Analysts of SunSirs believe that on the supply side, isooctanol manufacturers were operating at a high and stable capacity, coupled with significant new production capacity, resulting in an oversupply of isooctanol. On the demand side, DOP prices stopped falling and rebounded, the demand support for isooctanol still existed. In the future, with the increase in supply and demand support of isooctanol, it is expected that the price of isooctanol will fluctuate and stabilize.
