On September 12, 2025, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated paper was 2,758 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.66% compared to the average price on September 7.

In terms of upstream raw materials: Last week, the price of wastepaper in Zhejiang continued to rise, and the price of wastepaper in domestic paper mills also showed an upward trend. On September 12, 2025, the average purchase price of A-grade waste yellow board paper in Zhejiang was 1,716 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.39% compared to the average price on September 7. Recently, the intention of production enterprises to start production may increase, and the demand for raw material waste yellow cardboard has increased, which is conducive to a stronger trend in the price of waste paper. In addition, the supply of waste paper is in the off-season, and the market supply-demand contradiction presents a pattern of supply being less than demand, which drives prices to continue to rise.

On the supply side, the current inventory pressure of corrugated paper factories has been smoothly transferred to downstream packaging factories. Paper companies have successively released plans for shutdown and maintenance during the National Day holiday, and the expected reduction in supply is beneficial to the raw paper market. Due to the influence of tariff policies, the import volume in the market has significantly decreased, and the supply in some regions is slightly tight. In addition, due to the high pressure of raw material waste yellow cardboard, paper companies have a strong willingness to raise prices despite their meager profits, and some paper companies may gradually increase their prices.

In terms of demand, a new round of price increases is about to hit the market, with orders for Mid Autumn Festival and National Day still being released. Downstream packaging factory orders are still supported, which continues to benefit the market for corrugated paper prices. But in the future, with the pre consumption of some demand orders and the recovery of supply, the pressure of market supply and demand gradually becomes prominent, and the center of market transactions may shift downwards.
