Price trend

According to data monitored by SunSirs, as of September 12, the average price of domestic industrial-grade high-quality cyclohexane was 7,266 RMB/ton. The cyclohexane market remained stable this week, and the price fell by 0.46% compared with the same period last week. At present, the downstream demand of the cyclohexane market is insufficient, and the upstream cost support is general. It is expected that the cyclohexane market will remain stable in the short term, with prices remaining stable with small fluctuations.

Analysis review

Market: The cyclohexane market was running weakly this week, and the price was running down narrowly. At present, the negotiation focus of the domestic cyclohexane market is stable, the operation equipment is operating normally, the spot supply is sufficient, the downstream purchase is mainly based on just-in-time demand, the purchasing atmosphere is general, the supply-side positive support is not obvious, the mentality in the market is stable, the operation is cautious, and the wait-and-see attitude still exists. At present, the overall market negotiation focus is stable, the factory has no pressure to ship, the profit is still considerable, and the overall market is running upward.

On the upstream side: The benzene market operated steadily but slightly weakly this week. Shenghong Petrochemical has a benzene production capacity of 1.37 million tons/year. The unit is currently operating stably. The benzene price on September 12 is stable, quoted at 6,000 RMB/ton. Jiangsu Xinhai Petrochemical's benzene price is stable, running at 5,875 RMB/ton. Dongying Petrochemical's benzene quotation is stable today at 5,900 RMB/ton. The unit with an annual output of about 30,000 tons is currently operating normally.

On the downstream side: Zhejiang Juhua has a cyclohexanone production capacity of 80,000 tons, all of which are used for caprolactam. The plant was shut down on September 4. Fujian Dongxin has an annual cyclohexanone production capacity of 80,000 tons, which has been shut down and no quotation is given. Shandong Hualu Hengsheng's cyclohexanone plant has a production capacity of 520,000 tons, mainly used for caprolactam, and a small amount is exported. The quotation is 7,050 RMB/ton. The current cyclohexane supply is normal, the downstream purchasing atmosphere is general, and shipments are smooth. Shandong Haili has an annual output of 480,000 tons of cyclohexanone (including adipic acid), and Jiangsu Haili has an annual output of 500,000 tons of cyclohexanone (including adipic acid). The plant has been shut down and the start-up time is yet to be determined.

Market outlook

Analysts of cyclohexane from SunSirs believe that the current market demand for cyclohexane is average, the upstream cost side is insufficiently supported, and the downstream purchasing atmosphere is cold.
