Japan's top three ferrosilicon import sources in July were China (14,283.49 tons), Malaysia (10,431.49 tons), and Kazakhstan (3,374.91 tons). From January to July 2025, Japan's total ferrosilicon (>55%) imports reached 203,628.30 tons, marking a 0.54% year-on-year increase.
According to Japanese customs statistics, Japan's total imports of ferrosilicon (≤55%) in July 2025 reached 962.20 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.60% but a year-on-year increase of 69.55%. The top three import sources for Japan's ferrosilicon in July were China (480.20 tons), Vietnam (400.00 tons), and Norway (42.00 tons). From January to July 2025, Japan's total ferrosilicon (≤55%) imports reached 5,414.30 tons, marking a 10.06% decrease year-on-year.
