Analysis review

The aniline market experienced volatility in the first half of August, but stabilized in the second half. At the beginning of the month, with low inventory levels, major manufacturers collectively raised prices by 300 RMB/ton, bringing the mainstream market price to 7,800-7,900 RMB/ton. Subsequently, downstream buying sentiment weakened, transaction volume decreased, and aniline prices fell by 100 RMB/ton. With prices rising, downstream buyers were cautious, placing a high proportion of small orders, and manufacturers were struggling to sell their products. The market remained stagnant, prompting manufacturers to reduce prices to stimulate sales. In late August, prices for raw material benzene fluctuated upward, strengthening cost support. Aniline prices remained firm, and the stable market continued until the end of the month.

Benzene: The benzene market fluctuated upward in August. Affected by its own supply and demand and macro-privacy, the average price of benzene was 6,075 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month and 6,154 RMB/ton at the end of the month, with a monthly increase of 1.28%.

Market outlook

The cost pressure in the aniline market was increasing, and downstream companies were entering the market on demand. Aniline companies were having difficulty selling their products, and it is expected that the aniline market will consolidate in the short term.
