Analysis review
Bromine prices remained firm last week, with spot prices in Shandong Province ranging from 28,000 to 31,000 RMB/ton ex-factory. Due to weather and regulatory factors, bromine manufacturers were facing tight inventories, and downstream companies were primarily focused on meeting demand.
Regarding raw materials: the average market price of sulfur on August 26th was 2,624.33 RMB/ton, up 82.88% year-on-year. Downstream demand was still acceptable.
Market outlook
Bromine prices have been firm recently, driven by a recent rise in upstream sulfur prices. Bromine prices were performing well last week, with downstream buyers primarily purchasing on demand. Overall market activity was generally average. It is generally expected that bromine may continue to maintain a strong trend in the later period, depending on the downstream market demand.
