According to the SunSirs Commodity Market Analysis System, negative factors have persisted since mid-August, leading to a weakening domestic adipic acid market and a decline in prices. On August 15, the average price of adipic acid was 7,316 RMB/ton. On August 19, the average price was 7,283 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.46%.

Analysis review

In mid-August, prices for benzene and cyclohexanone, the raw materials for adipic acid, declined, driven by sluggish end-user demand. Domestic adipic acid market activity remained mediocre, with decent sales. Prices from adipic acid producers remained relatively stable, while those from traders generally declined. The market remained weak, with prices falling to 7,200 RMB/ton by August 19, a drop of nearly 0.5%.

Market outlook
