The Commodity Price Index (BPI) was 869 points on August 3, unchanged from the previous day. This represents a 35.29% decrease from the cyclical high of 1,343 points (October 19, 2021), and a 31.67% increase from the low of 660 points on February 3, 2016.

According to Sino-Foreign Exchange price monitoring, in Week 30 of 2025 (July 28-August 1), 100 commodities saw month-over-month price increases, concentrated in the chemical sector (55 total) and the steel sector (10 total). Commodities with increases of 5% or more were primarily concentrated in the chemical sector. The top three commodities with the highest increases were TDI (8.70%), formic acid (6.80%), and propylene oxide (6.71%). There were 85 commodities that declined month-on-month, concentrated in chemicals (46 in total) and nonferrous metals (12 in total). The top three commodities with the largest declines were natural rubber (-4.41%), butadiene (-4.40%), and PX (-3.45%).
