Analysis review
Bromine prices were generally on the rise this month, with spot prices in Shandong Province temporarily ranging from 27,000 to 28,500 RMB/ton ex-factory. Due to environmental inspections and the impact of rainy season, bromine inventory pressure was minimal, quotations remained firm, and downstream demand was moderate, resulting in relatively light market transactions.
Regarding raw materials, domestic sulfur prices remained firm, averaging 2,334.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month and 2,461 RMB/ton at the end of the month, a 5.43% increase and a 93.02% year-on-year increase. Downstream demand remained healthy.
Future outlook:
Bromine prices have been rising recently, while upstream sulfur prices have remained firm. Bromine supply pressure was minimal, with downstream suppliers primarily purchasing on demand. Bromine prices were generally relatively strong. Overall, it’s expected that bromine prices may continue to remain strong in the future, depending on downstream market demand.
