During the week, several units under maintenance were restarted, weakening the supply side. Raw material benzene weakened due to falling crude oil prices and high port inventories, leading to a broad decline in aniline prices, reaching a low of 7,000 RMB/ton. Subsequently, aniline prices began to rise after reaching a low point, driven by strong downstream demand and a lack of new orders. Upstream benzene prices fluctuated narrowly, providing some support for aniline. Market supply and demand remained stable in mid-to-late July, with aniline prices fluctuating primarily due to raw material factors, with overall increases exceeding decreases.

Benzene: The benzene market fluctuated in July, influenced by both supply and demand and macroeconomic factors. The lowest price occurred on July 8. The average price of benzene was 5,942 RMB/ton on July 1, and 5,988 RMB/ton on July 29, a monthly increase of 0.74%.

Future outlook:

The aniline market supply was stable and the demand was average. The continued price increase will intensify the downstream resistance mentality. In addition, the weak trend of benzene, it is expected that the aniline market will consolidate in a narrow range in the short term.
