Recently (7.22-7.28), EVA production has slightly increased to around 8.2%. Currently, some foam grades in the market are in short supply and there is no pressure. Manufacturers may plan to raise prices. During the cycle, the price of raw material ethylene remained stable, while the price of vinyl acetate decreased, providing cost support for EVA. As of July 28th, the domestic ethylene and Sinopec East China prices remained stable at 6,800 RMB/ton; The price of vinyl acetate in the East China market is 5,825 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.26% from 5,950 on July 22.

From the demand side perspective, the short-term start-up of downstream main photovoltaic equipment provides strong support for EVA demand, while the foam industry is still in the off-season with weak demand. However, some brands have tight prices and strong support. The overall transaction volume in the market is slow, and EVA prices are stabilizing and consolidating.

Overall, raw material prices have some support on the cost side, and there is still high supply pressure for EVA production. The downstream photovoltaic and foam industries are mainly supported by demand. It is expected that the EVA spot market will continue to stabilize and consolidate in the later stage, and some brand prices may be slightly raised.
