Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the trading atmosphere in the polyester filament market was calm on July 14th, with few bulk transactions. Mainstream polyester factories' quotations remained stable, while some polyester factories made small-scale reductions. Actual small-scale transactions were mainly negotiated between the two parties. The mainstream polyester filament factories in Jiangsu and Zhejiang offer POY (150D/48F) prices ranging from 6,750-7,050 RMB/ton, polyester DTY (150D/48F low elasticity) prices ranging from 7,700-8,050 RMB/ton, and polyester FDY (150D/96F) prices ranging from 6,900-7,100 RMB/ton.   

Analysis review

On July 14th, WTI crude oil futures prices rose to $68.45 per barrel, up $1.88 per barrel. Brent crude oil futures prices rose to $70.36 per barrel, up $1.72 per barrel. On the demand side, the purchasing enthusiasm of weaving and reloading factories was not high, and the overall transaction volume was slow. Polyester manufacturers did not have a large inventory of polyester filament, and some varieties were oversupplied, but they were affected by cost psychological pressure.

Future outlook:

SunSirs expects the overall of polyester filament will be stable in the short term, but does not rule out the possibility of periodic replenishment and procurement this week due to the support of rigid demand.
