Market analysis

Domestically, as of the end of June, Guangxi had sold a total of 5.1406 million tons of sugar, an increase of 614,400 tons year-on-year; the production and sales rate was 79.51%, and the industrial inventory was 1.3244 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 330,800 tons. As of June 30, Hainan Province had sold a total of 25,800 tons of sugar, a decrease of 25,300 tons from 51,100 tons in the same period of the previous crushing season, and the production and sales rate was 46.82%.

China's sugar imports in May were 350,000 tons, an increase of 1954.9% year-on-year. China's sugar imports from January to May were 630,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 50.1%. As of the week of July 2, the number of ships waiting to load sugar at Brazilian ports was 80, compared with 74 the previous week. The amount of sugar waiting to be shipped at the port is 3.2059 million tons, compared with 2.7042 million tons in the previous week.
