The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 2,003 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 1,986 RMB/ton, with a price drop of 0.83%.

Analysis review

Last week, the domestic market price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite had fallen. The upstream price of sodium metabisulfite, soda ash, fell by 1.42%, sulfur prices rose by 7.93%, and downstream caprolactam prices fell by 2.25%. Affected by the decline in upstream and downstream prices, the price of sodium metabisulfite was under pressure to fall.

Market outlook

As of May 9th, the price of sodium metabisulfite was under pressure and the trading volume was light. It is expected that the domestic market price will mainly fluctuate and weaken in the short term.
