Analysis review

This week, the price of bromine was in a weak trend, with mainstream prices in the Shandong market ranging from 18,000 to 21,000 RMB/ton, and market prices were consolidating horizontally. The supply of bromine manufacturers was stable, and the actual transactions of enterprises were average. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries were still mainly purchasing on demand recently, and the transaction situation was average, with a strong wait-and-see attitude.

In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had risen, with an average market price of 1,110 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,176.67 RMB/ton at the end of the week. The price had increased by 6.01%, an increase of 25.18% compared to the same period last year.

Market outlook

The recent price consolidation of bromine has led to an increase in upstream sulfur prices, but bromine shipments had been average. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine were still mainly purchasing according to demand, with moderate replenishment. There was no positive support, and it is expected that bromine prices will fluctuate in the short term. The specific situation depends on downstream market demand.
