Price dynamics:

On February 19th, Sinopec Group North China region: Qilu Petrochemical quoted 8,700 RMB/ton, Shijiazhuang Refining and Chemical quoted 8,700 RMB/ton, and Tianjin Petrochemical quoted 8,700 RMB/ton;

East China region: Yangzi Petrochemical offered a price of 8,700 RMB/ton;

South China region: Hainan Refining and Chemical offered a price of 8,700 RMB/ton;

Central China region: Wuhan ethylene quoted 8,700 RMB/ton;

Other: Jingbo Petrochemical quoted 8,650 RMB/ton, HSBC Petrochemical quoted 8,300 RMB/ton, Weilian Chemical quoted 8,583 RMB/ton, Xinhai Petrochemical quoted 8,650 RMB/ton, and Hongrun Petrochemical quoted 8,500 RMB/ton.

On the 19th, the price of Jingbo Petrochemical's pure benzene increased by 200 RMB/ton, Weilian Chemical's pure benzene price increased by 80 RMB/ton, and Xinhai Petrochemical's pure benzene price increased by 200 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

With low inventory and high external support, businesses still held expectations of tight supply for pure benzene after the holiday. It is expected that the price of pure benzene will remain high and fluctuate. On the 19th, the domestic price of pure benzene would be between 8,583-8,700 RMB/ton.
