The raw material methanol fluctuated narrowly, the price of liquid chlorine dropped slightly, and the cost support for chloroform weakened slightly; The overall inventory of chloroform enterprises was low, and the supply of goods in the region was tight, leading to a significant increase in factory prices; Downstream construction started at a low level, and supported by rigid demand.

Recently (9.1-9.11), the price of raw material methanol consolidated at high levels, the price of liquid chlorine decreased, and the cost support for chloroform had weakened. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of September 11th, the spot price of methanol was 2,530 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.85% from 2,551 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month. As of As of September 11th, the price of liquid chlorine in Shandong region was at 300 RMB/ton, which decreased from 500 RMB/ton at the end of August.

The overall low operating level of refrigerant R22 was stable, and the price had slightly increased, which had rigid support for the market of chloroform. However, in 2023, the total production quota of R22 was reduced by 19% to 181,800 tons, and overall support for chloroform demand will weaken in the medium to long term.

Market outlook
