On August 1st, the average market price of domestic chlorinated paraffin 52 was 5,250 RMB/ton. On August 28th, the average market price of domestic chlorinated paraffin 52 was 5,316 RMB/ton, and the price of chlorinated paraffin increased by 1.27% this month.

Analysis review

The domestic price of chlorinated paraffin fluctuated and increased this month. In early August, the price of chlorinated paraffin remained stable. Cost side support was acceptable. Downstream procurement enthusiasm was average, manufacturers had a stable price mentality, and market trading was light. In mid August, the price of chlorinated paraffin slightly increased. The prices of raw materials had significantly increased, with good cost support. Downstream demand was stable, and the trading atmosphere had improved. In late August, the price of chlorinated paraffin remained stable. Although there was still support from the cost side, however, the performance of terminal demand was insufficient, and market transactions were weak. As of August 28th, the factory price of environmentally friendly chlorinated paraffin 52 in Anhui region was around 5,600 yuan/ton, while the factory price of national standard chlorinated paraffin 52 in Shandong region was around 5,000-5,350 yuan/ton.

According to the weekly rise and fall from May 29, 2023 to August 21, 2023, it can be seen that the domestic chlorinated paraffin cycle saw mixed ups and downs. August was relatively stable, with the largest increase of 0.95% in the week of August 14th.

In terms of raw material liquid wax, the price of liquid wax had fluctuated and increased this month, with frequent market fluctuations. Liquid wax varied with the fluctuations of crude oil market. In terms of raw material liquid chlorine, the price of liquid chlorine had increased this month, and the overall trend was relatively stronger. The market transaction was acceptable, and the manufacturer had stable shipments.

Market outlook
