According to monitoring data from SunSirs, as of July 26, 2023, the domestic market price of silicone DMC was referenced at 13,060 RMB/ton. Compared with July 21 (silicone DMC reference 13,400 RMB/ton), the price was reduced by 240 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.54%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that this week (7.21-7.26), the domestic silicone DMC market as a whole was in a weak decline. At the beginning of the week, A Shandong large factory took the lead in reducing the price of silicone DMC by 200 RMB/ton. The low end price of silicone DMC dropped below the 13,000 RMB/ton mark, with a reference to around 12,800 RMB/ton. Subsequently, the lead large factories also lowered the price of silicone DMC by around 300 RMB/ton. Due to limited downstream demand, approaching the end of the month, Silicone DMC factories and suppliers had a strong willingness to ship. In order to compete for new orders, the overall negotiation atmosphere in the silicone DMC market had declined. As of July 26th, the domestic silicone DMC market price was referenced around 12,800-13,500 RMB/ton, and the price was reduced by about 200-400 RMB/ton within the week.

Market outlook

As of July 26th, the trading atmosphere on the silicone DMC market was still fair, and downstream inquiries had a mild temperature. New orders were mainly negotiated. The silicone DMC data analyst of SunSirs believes that in the short term, the domestic silicone DMC market will mostly be stable and with minor fluctuations. The specific trend still needs to pay more attention to changes in supply and demand news.
