July 03 2023 13:56:09SunSirs(John)

Price trend

This week (6.23-6.30), the market of dichloromethane dropped sharply. According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, as of June 30, the average price of bulk dichloromethane in Shandong was 2,340 RMB/ton, down 7.69% from 2,535 RMB/ton last Friday. The price of raw methanol was higher, and the cost support of dichloromethane was stronger than that in the early stage; The supply side of methane chloride had slightly increased, market supply pressure increased and downstream demand was relatively flat. The price of dichloromethane fell sharply.

Analysis review

This week (6.23-6.30), the operating rate of methane chloride plants had slightly increased, and the overall supply pressure was still ongoing.

This week (6.23-6.30), the price of raw methanol rose, and the cost support of dichloromethane rose compared with the previous period. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of June 30th, the spot price of methanol was 2,180 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.22% from last Friday's 2,091 RMB/ton.

Downstream refrigerant, pharmaceutical intermediates, diluent solvent industry started to fluctuate slightly, which had rigid support for dichloromethane.

Market outlook

According to the methane chloride data analysts of SunSirs, as of June 30, the supply side of dichloromethane was loose, and downstream transactions were flat, but the rising cost side and the sharp decline in the price of dichloromethane squeezed the profits of dichloromethane again. Against this background, it was difficult for the cost support of dichloromethane to fall sharply again. If the prices of raw materials continue to rise in the later period, it is expected that the market of dichloromethane will fluctuate and rebound.
