According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of June 15th, the average price of propylene oxide enterprises was 9,762.50 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.64% compared to June 1st.

Analysis review

Since June, the propylene oxide market has been fluctuating and declining. Recently, the price of raw material propylene has fluctuated and declined, with average cost support. At the beginning of the month, some supply end devices fluctuated and contracted, and factory inventory pressure was controllable. Downstream followed up moderately on demand, and the market was consolidated and sorted out. With some factories slightly under pressure, enterprise quotations slightly declined. The supply in the north was relatively abundant, while the stock in the south was slightly tight. The demand side follow-up was average, and the market was stagnant and sorted out to be weaker. The supply end on maintenance devices in East China were delayed to start, and factory shipments rebounded, Downstream followed by restocking after waiting-and-seeing, and the market atmosphere improved. Some companies' prices increased. With the increase of supply side devices, the demand side was wait-and-see and decreased follow-up, the market situation showed weak operation. On the 15th, the mainstream quotation for propylene oxide in Shandong region was around 9,450-9,600 RMB/ton.

Upstream propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, on June 14th, the reference price of propylene was 6,175.75 RMB/ton, a decrease of 4.41% compared to June 1st (6,460.75 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

The propylene oxide analyst of SunSirs believes that the cost support was limited, some factories moderately accumulated inventory, and the demand performance was average. The market atmosphere was weak, and downstream cautious wait-and-see sentiment was strong.
