The reference price for self delivery of butadiene from the tank in East China was 7800-8000 RMB/ton, a decrease of 50 RMB/ton compared to the previous month.
The mainstream delivery price of butadiene in North China was between 8,400 and 8,600 RMB/ton, a month on month increase of 150 RMB/ton.
On May 8th, the closing price of butadiene in Asia fell: FOB South Korea was quoted at 915-925 US dollars per ton, down 10 US dollars per ton; China CFR reported a decrease of 10 US dollars per ton from 955 US dollars to 965 US dollars per ton. The external price of butadiene in Europe remained stable: FOB Rotterdam closed at 645-655 US dollars per ton; FD Northwest Europe closed at 785-795 euros per ton.
Market outlook
In the short term, it is difficult for phenol to have any positive effects, and the market is weak and adjusted. It is expected that the negotiated price in the phenol market today will be between 7,350-7,450 RMB/ton.
