May 10 2023 10:35:15SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of May 9, 2023, the domestic silicone DMC market reference price was 14,800 RMB/ton, and on May 1 (silicone DMC reference was 15,080 RMB/ton), the price fell 280 RMB/ton, or 1.86%.

Analysis review

From the data monitoring chart of SunSirs, it can be seen that in early May (5.01-5.09), the domestic silicone DMC market was generally weak and declining. During the Labor Day holiday, the domestic silicone DMC market as a whole was consolidated. After returning from the holiday, the silicone DMC market, which had been operating steadily for several days, once again experienced a cold drop. On the 8th and 9th, the prices of silicone DMC in Shandong's major factories were continuously downward adjusted, with a decrease of around 500 RMB/ton. Other factories were holding pre holiday prices or negotiating a slight decline. As of the 9th, the overall performance of the silicone DMC market was weak, with downstream demand mostly being on demand procurement and cautious operation. As of May 9, the market price of silicone DMC in China was around 14,300-15,200 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

As of the 9th, the trading atmosphere in the silicone DMC market was light, with downstream negotiations for moderate replenishment. The operating rate of the silicone DMC site remained around 60%, and the raw material market was also weak, providing relatively average cost support for the silicone DMC. The silicone DMC data analyst from SunSirs believes that in the short term, the domestic silicone DMC market is mainly adjusted to be weaker narrowly, and the specific trend still needs to pay more attention to the changes in supply and demand information.
