According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average ex-factory price of domestic ammonium sulfate was 1,126 RMB/ton on March 10 and 1,073 RMB/ton on March 16. The price of ammonium sulfate fell by 4.73% this week.

Analysis review

The market price of ammonium sulfate fell sharply this week. As of the 16th, the market demand for ammonium sulfate was sluggish, the downstream procurement was cautious, and the intra-field trading was weak. The export performance of ammonium sulfate was poor, and the international quotation was lowered. This week, the bidding price of coking grade ammonium sulfate fell sharply, and CPL grade ammonium sulfate fell in a narrow range. As of March 16, the mainstream ex-factory price of coking grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong Province was around 980 RMB/ton, and the mainstream ex-factory price of ammonium sulfate in Hebei Province was around 950 RMB/ton. CPL grade ammonium sulfate, the mainstream ex-factory price in Shandong Province was 1,080-1,160 RMB/ton.

The price trend of downstream compound fertilizer this week was weaker. The price trend of raw materials was not good, and the compound fertilizer market was mainly wait-and-see. As of the 16th, the transaction of new orders on the market was average, with orders mainly issued to old customers.

Market outlook

The ammonium sulfate analyst of SunSirs believes that the domestic market of ammonium sulfate had been weaker recently, and the demand of foreign markets had not improved. Under the leadership of negative in the market, the ammonium sulfate market was moving downward. In the absence of positive conditions, the price of ammonium sulfate is expected to continue to decline in the short term.
