Price trend

The arrival price of domestic Salt Lake potassium chloride this week was 3,500-3,600 RMB/ton. The port stock was about 2.5 million tons.

The commodity index of potassium chloride (import) on March 12 was 101.32 points, which was the same as yesterday, down 30.00% from the highest point of 144.74 points (2022-06-21) in the cycle, and up 4.77% from the lowest point of 96.71 points on September 16, 2021. Analysis review

This week, the quotations of domestic potassium chloride mainstream manufacturers rose and fell: the arrival price of 60% potassium chloride in Qinghai Salt Lake was 3,500-3,600 RMB/ton. Xiangyang Youdeshi offered 3,800 RMB/ton of potassium chloride at the end of this week, which was temporarily stable compared with last weekend. Zibo Dehe offered 4,000 RMB/ton for potassium chloride distribution at the end of this week, which was temporarily stable compared with that at the end of last week. At the end of this week, Anhui Badou offered 3,750 RMB/ton of potassium chloride, down 50 RMB/ton compared with last weekend. Shandong Xinkaisheng offered 3,850 RMB/ton of potassium chloride at the end of this week, an increase of 50 RMB/ton compared with last weekend. The port's 62% white potassium self-delivered price was about 3,500-3,600 RMB/ton. The self-delivered price of 60% bright red granules at the port was about 3,700-3,800 RMB/ton. 62% of Russian white potassium in border trade was about 3,400-3,500 RMB/ton.

From the downstream market of potassium chloride, the ex-factory price of potassium carbonate fell slightly this week, from 9,120.00 RMB/ton at the end of last week to 9,100.00 RMB/ton at the end of this week, down 0.22%, and up 5.81% year-on-year. The ex-factory price of potassium nitrate was temporarily stable this week, at 5,940.00 RMB/ton, down 9.31% from the same period last year. On the whole, the downstream market of potassium chloride declined slightly, and the demand of downstream customers for potassium chloride weakened.

Market outlook

In the middle and late March, the overall trend of potassium chloride market may fall in a narrow range, mainly in consolidation. The prices of potassium chloride in Saltlake and Zangger were consolidated at low levels. The downstream market of potassium chloride fell slightly, and the downstream demand weakened, and the purchase was mainly on demand. International potash fertilizer prices continued to fall. Analysts of potassium chloride from SunSirs believe that the import price of domestic potassium chloride may fall slightly in the short term.
