As of the end of September, Guangxi had cumulatively sold 6.864 million tonnes of sugar, an increase of 841,100 tonnes year-on-year; industrial inventory stood at 833,400 tonnes, an increase of 391,300 tonnes year-on-year.

The October Oilseeds Report released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows that the global rapeseed production in the 2026/27 marketing year is estimated at 99.571 million tons, an increase of 3.536 million tons year-on-year; the ending stocks are estimated at 11.599 million tons, an increase of 685,000 tons year-on-year.

According to the supply and demand report of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the estimated U.S. soybean oil production and domestic consumption for the 2026/27 marketing year remain unchanged. However, the significant downward revision of the beginning inventory by 180 million pounds to 1.657 billion pounds has largely offset the increase in imports, which were raised from 600 million pounds to 700 million pounds. This led to a downward revision of the soybean oil ending inventory by 80 million pounds to 1.797 billion pounds, which will still represent an 8.4% increase compared to the previous year. The annual average price of soybean oil remains unchanged at 70.00 cents per pound, compared with 64.08 cents in the previous year.

According to EU data, the EU's soybean imports will decrease by 9% in the 2026/27 marketing year. Among them, Brazil's share has increased, while the shares of the United States and Ukraine have declined. As of October 4, 2026, Brazil was the EU's top soybean supplier, with a volume of 2.53 million tons, up from 2.43 million tons a week earlier, a year-on-year increase of 33.0%. Its share has risen from 56.5% last year to 82.8%.

As of September 30, 2026, Yunnan Province has cumulatively sold 2.6243 million tons of sugar, with a sales-to-production ratio of 89.31%, which is lower than the 91.54% recorded in the same period last year. In September alone, 150,700 tons of sugar were sold, and the industrial inventory stood at 314,000 tons.

As of October 8, 11 sugar beet factories in Xinjiang have started production for the 2026/2027 crushing season, and it is estimated that 12 sugar factories will start production this crushing season. A total of 795,300 tons of beet sugar were produced in Xinjiang during the 2025/26 crushing season, and it is preliminarily estimated that the output for the new 2026/2027 crushing season will also be close to 800,000 tons.

The Brazilian National Association of Cereal Exporters (ANEC) stated that Brazil's corn exports in October 2026 are estimated at 5.34 million tons, lower than the 5.69 million tons in the same period last year.

According to Secex statistics, Brazil's corn export pace in September 2026 lagged behind the same period last year. From September 1 to 30, Brazil's corn exports reached 5.212 million tons.

The Brazilian Association of Cereal Exporters (ANEC) released a report, forecasting for the first time that Brazil's soybean exports in October 2026 will be 6.18 million tons, a 13.1% decrease from the 7.11 million tons in September and a 3.4% decrease from the 6.40 million tons in October last year, reflecting a seasonal decline after the peak export period in the second half of the year.

A survey shows that Malaysia's palm oil inventories in September are expected to hit a record high, surpassing the peak seen in December 2018, as palm oil production climbed to a record level in September while export demand remained weak.
