According to the latest data, a total of 186.22 million tires were imported into the United States in the first eight months of 2026, a year-on-year decrease of 4%. Among them, imports of passenger car tires decreased by 3% year-on-year to 113.06 million; imports of truck and bus tires decreased by 7% year-on-year to 39.57 million; imports of aircraft tires increased by 16% year-on-year to 209,000; imports of motorcycle tires decreased by 7% year-on-year to 2.42 million; imports of bicycle tires increased by 18% year-on-year to 5.3 million.

On September 29, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement, officially launching an anti-dumping investigation into caprolactam originating in China, Russia, Thailand and the United States upon the application of Indian local enterprise Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited. The customs code of the involved products is 29337100. Caprolactam is the core raw material for the production of nylon 6 (PA6). This initiation of the case will have an impact on the exports of domestic caprolactam and its downstream PA6 industry chain to India.

This investigation sets the dumping investigation period as April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026; the injury investigation period covers four annual cycles from April 2022 to March 2026. The announcement requires all interested parties to submit response materials, defense evidence and relevant industry information to the Indian investigation authority within 37 days from the date of the case initiation.

On October 8th, the market price of styrene-butadiene rubber in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions rose sharply. The international crude oil market fluctuated at a high level, providing cost support for the styrene-butadiene rubber market. Downstream inquiries were mainly based on demand, and there was resistance to high-priced goods. Merchants' quoted prices were consolidated within a range. Currently, the mainstream quotes for 1502 grades from Fushun, Lanhua, Yangzi and Jihua are 16,450~16,600 yuan/ton.

On October 8th, the market of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber in Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas rose sharply. Crude oil prices fluctuated at high levels, providing strong cost support for cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber, and the spot offer prices of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber rose significantly. At present, the mainstream offers of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber from Daqing, Sichuan and Dushanzi are 16,500 to 16,800 yuan per ton.

In August 2026, the domestic PE export volume totaled 216,100 tons, an increase of 86.24% year-on-year and a decrease of 0.52% month-on-month.

According to customs data statistics, in August 2026, the total imports of PE were 570,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 39.93% and a month-on-month increase of 8.95%.
