SunSirs: China Butyl Rubber Market has been Running Sideways after the Spring Festival
February 26 2024 13:08:41SunSirs(Selena)

According to the monitoring of the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic price of butyl rubber was 17,675 RMB/ton on February 23, and the price remained stable and unchanged from before the Spring Festival.

Cost side: The international oil price trend first fell and then rose. Currently, there is still a long short game for crude oil, and there is pressure on global crude oil demand. The trend of crude oil prices is rising, and cost support still exists. The market price of isobutylene has slight fluctuations, with a price range of around 10,300 RMB/ton. The price of isoprene remains stable, with a price range of around 8,500 RMB/ton.

Demand side: After the Spring Festival, the steel tire industry has started construction one after another, with a load rate of over 60% for the semi steel tire industry and over 50% for the full steel tire industry. The production of enterprises has increased by about 40% compared to the previous week. Some steel tire enterprises are still parking their equipment, and it is expected that the start-up situation of the equipment will increase next week.

After the Spring Festival, the butyl rubber market has been running sideways. Part of the imported goods on the site are in short supply, and the load rate of the butyl rubber industry is over 50%. The price of raw material isobutylene fluctuates slightly. Downstream steel tire enterprises have started operating their equipment one after another, providing strong support for the cost of butyl rubber. It is expected that the butyl rubber market will be relatively strong in the near future.
