At the beginning of the week, the average production price of paraformaldehyde in Shandong was 5,025.00 RMB/ton, and on the weekend, the average production price of paraformaldehyde in Shandong was 5,000.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.50%, a decrease of 4.53% month on month, and a decrease of 7.98% year-on-year.

Analysis review

Upstream methanol situation: The domestic methanol market continued to be weaker. The raw material coal was weak, and cost support was weak. At the same time, methanol futures broke through and fell, market confidence was insufficient. The supply side was currently not favorable, and downstream demand was sluggish for a long time, and methanol prices experience a continuous decline. The factory reference price of methanol in the southern region of Shandong was around 2,280-2,290 RMB/ton, while the reference price for delivery from Linyi was around 2,340-2,360 RMB/ton. The local methanol factory in central Shandong quoted a price of 2,340 RMB/ton. The negotiated price for methanol in the Dongying area of Shandong was 2,280-2,300 RMB/ton.

Market outlook
