According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of July 28, the average price of domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide enterprises was 473,333.34 RMB/ton, which was the same as the price on July 1, and increased by 0.71% in a three-month cycle. Compared with the same period last year, it has increased by 381.36%.

Analysis review

In July, the domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide market was stable. In the first half of the month, the upstream lithium carbonate price was stable, the supply side did not change much, and the demand side rebounded, but the market transaction atmosphere was flat, and the market price of lithium hydroxide stabilized. In the second half of the month, the price of upstream lithium carbonate rose a little, and the cost side had certain support. Some equipment at the supply side was overhauled, and the supply volume was reduced, but the demand side was insufficient to follow up, and the market price was mainly stable.

Upstream lithium carbonate, according to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the price of lithium carbonate in July 2022 showed a trend of stability first and then growth. On July 27, the average price of industrial grade lithium carbonate in East China was 461,000 RMB/ton, which was 0.44% higher than the average price at the beginning of the month (the average price of industrial grade lithium carbonate in East China was 459,000 RMB/ton on July 1). On July 27, the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate in East China was 479,600 RMB/ton, which was 0.33% higher than the average price at the beginning of the month (the average price of pool-grade lithium carbonate in East China was 478,000 RMB/ton on July 1).

Market outlook

The lithium hydroxide analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost support is acceptable, but the overall market atmosphere is general. It is expected that in the short term, the domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide market may be stable.
