According to the data of SunSirs, the chloroform market fell slightly this week (7.18-7.25). As of July 25, the price of chloroform bulk water in Shandong remained at 2,850 RMB/ton, down 1.30% from 2,887 RMB/ton on last Monday.
Analysis review
Although Jinling Dongying and other methane chloride plants were shut down, the supply side of the domestic market continued to be loose; coupled with the low start of downstream refrigerants, more chloroform was purchased on demand, and there were not many market transactions.
This week (7.18-7.25), the spot price of methanol rebounded slightly, and the cost-side support was slightly stronger, but the top suppression was obvious, and the later rebound was difficult to sustain. According to the understanding of SunSirs, as of July 25, the spot price of methanol was 2,432 RMB/ton, a slight increase of 1.62% from 2,393 RMB/ton on last Monday.
In the off-season of the industrial chain, the downstream refrigerant of chloroform ran steadily, and the start-up was stable at a low level, which had a certain support for chloroform, but the support was still weak.
Market outlook
The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that the pressure on the domestic supply side is still there; the demand for chloroform from refrigerants has certain support, and it is expected that chloroform will maintain consolidating in a narrow range in the later period.
