On July 13, 2022, the market price of softwood pulp was 7,040 RMB/ton, and the market price of hardwood pulp was 6,600 RMB/ton.
Analysis review
On July 13, the spot price of softwood pulp ran smoothly, and the price of pulp futures fluctuated. On the disk, the opening price of the sp2209 contract was 6,446 RMB/ton, and the closing price was 6,550 RMB/ton, a daily increase of 1.08%. Although the overall global shipment has improved, the domestic softwood pulp arrival volume in the third quarter is still relatively low, which has a certain support for the domestic spot price. However, the downstream demand for finished paper is still weak, paper mills are sluggish to increase prices, and profits are under pressure, which has limited support for the pulp market.
Market outlook
Recently, the main pulp contracts have been pulled up and sorted, but there is no effective change in the short-term disk logic, and the rebound space may be limited. It is expected that the price of wood pulp will continue to fluctuate and sort in the short term.
