According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of IPA has been reduced this week. The average price of domestic isopropanol was 7,300 RMB/ton on last Thursday, and the average price on this Thursday was 7,125 RMB/ton. The price was lowered by 2.4% during the week.

Analysis review

This week, the domestic IPA market price was lowered. At present, the orders of IPA manufacturers are mainly exported. The domestic IPA market is relatively light, and the wait-and-see mood is strong. The downstream demand is general, and the rigid demand is the main. As of the 7th, most of the quotations for IPA in Shandong were around 6,900-7,200 RMB/ton; most of the quotations for IPA in Jiangsu were around 7,200 RMB/ton. Internationally, the US IPA closed stable on July 5, and the European IPA market closed down.

In terms of raw material acetone, the domestic ex-factory price of acetone was lowered this week. The average domestic price of acetone was 5,560 RMB/ton on last Thursday, and the average price on this Thursday was 5,360 RMB/ton. The price during the week was lowered by 3.6%. The terminal procurement efforts are average, and the actual orders in the market are insufficient. SunSirs predicts that the acetone market will continue to be weak in the short term.

In terms of raw material propylene, according to the price chart of SunSirs, as of the 7th, the mainstream market price of propylene (Shandong) was 7,400-7,700 RMB/ton, the market supply pressure increased, and the price was down under pressure. It is expected that propylene prices will consolidate at a low level in the near future.

Market outlook

The IPA analyst of SunSirs believes that: at present, domestic factories are mainly exporting orders, and the domestic IPA market demand is not good. Upstream, acetone fell, propylene fell, and cost support was weak. It is expected that the center of gravity of the isopropanol market will be down in the short term.
