As of June 24, the daily average price of 304/2b stainless steel flat plate 1.0*1219*2438 (tolerance 0.91) was 16830 RMB/ton, down 0.37% from 16892.5 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week, up 8.63% year-on-year.
According to the SunSirs, the recent spot stainless steel and nickel prices are relatively weak, but the price of stainless steel is relatively good.
Under the macro influence, the center of gravity of non-ferrous metals generally shifted downward, and the nickel price fell, but the current nickel warehouse receipts are at a low level, which has a certain support for the nickel price. Recently, the downstream demand for nickel has not significantly improved, while the supply of nickel intermediate products is increasing day by day, and the supply is gradually easing, putting pressure on the nickel price. In terms of stainless steel, downstream demand expectations are pessimistic, and the cost of raw materials has been falling recently, but at present, most price steel mills are still facing losses. In June, the production of 300 series stainless steel was significantly reduced, and last week, the social inventory of 300 series cold rolling was slightly removed, but it is still at a relatively high level.
Stainless steel is expected to operate in a short term or remain weak.
